Although I wouldn’t want to live without social media, Skype, my iPad… take your pick… with all of these tools, sometimes nothing beats a good old-fashioned phone call for making real connections. I’d love to take a break to talk about how I can help you best. Of course, my inbox is just as happy to receive some e-mail love.

    Hi Marcia,

I read your article from Learnativity regarding Doug McBride and it sounded like you had a very good professional relationship with Doug. By surfing the internet, I accidently found this article that has led me to you. Sounds very familiar to the article Doug wrote in May 1996 “Finally Getting Good Enough,” about two kinds of learning on the Internet, Targeted and Accidental.

I grew up with Doug in the San Fernando Valley, attending elementary school with Doug at Vintage St. School, Porter Jr. High, and Monroe High School. I lost contact with Doug after High School and recently was saddened to learn of his death.

I have a lot of memories of Doug during the early years and was hopeful that you could possibly let me know what Doug did after high school, working at Learnativity, and what lead to his early death.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Sincerely,

    Mike Roberts

    Hi Marcia,

I have recently returned to post-secondary education and Learn More Now was the text book used for one of my classes. It had never occurred to me that I could learn so much about learning from the contents of such a small book. Thank you for providing quality versus quantity!

It has always been my opinion that nothing we do can ever be considered a mistake but simply a learning experience. Thank you for reinforcing that we learn from everything we do, whether we realize it or not, and being cognizant is the key to our success.

On a different note, my husband I just spent a few days in the Shenandoah Valley (Luray). It was heavenly! Much self-discovery and reflection can be attained in such amazing beauty. Just another reason why God provided us with nature!

Thank you for being so insightful! Cheers!
